Dangerous Android settings; you need to remove

Several settings on our Android phone are kept by default. But we need to change it for various purposes. Sometimes it's going to be dangerous if we don't change, and it may be responsible for our privacy leaking.

Dangerous Android settings you need to remove

Then it turns out to be dangerous Android settings. In this article, I will share 5 dangerous Android settings that you should stop urgently.

#1 Stop your privacy leaking through notifications

Most of us use our Android phones with screen locks for security. Sometimes it may happen that someone may have sent you a message on WhatsApp, someone may have sent something on Emo, or someone called you but could not receive it.

But those can be seen and read from the lock screen. It's also possible that a WhatsApp message that was allowed to be viewed only by you has been viewed by someone else.

You need to make some settings so that this does not happen in any way and that detailed notifications are not shown on the lock screen.

To do this important settings --

>> Go to the 'Settings' app on your Phone.
>> Tap on 'Notifications & Control centre' option.
>> Simply tap on the 'Lock screen' option.
>> Click on the 'Format' option.
>> Select the 'Show notifications but hide content'

See this video guide --

Now, only notification hints can show on the screen, not detailed information.

#2 Disable unwanted access to the Control center

When we swipe down from the top of the phone screen, the interface that opens is called Control Center. From here, we can turn on or off mobile data, wifi, etc. This can be done even when the phone screen is locked. But if others can access the control center, then it's a problem. He can turn your Wi-Fi and mobile data on or off, take data connections through a hotspot, turn your mobile into airplane mode, mute your phone, etc. But you can block the unwanted access of others in the Control Center.

To do this important setting:

>> Go to the settings app.
>> Click on 'Notification and Control Centre'.
>> Click on the option that ' Items are shown on the Lock screen after swiping down.
>> Turn off the 'Control center' option.

Now no one can go to the control center from the lock screen, even if they want to.

#3 Turn off unnecessary app notifications

We download or install several apps for several purposes. Those few apps send notifications every time, which irritates us. You can customize it or turn off this unnecessary app notification. To do that,

>> Go to settings
>> Click on 'Notifications and Control Center'.
>> Tap on 'App notifications'.

Here, apps are downloaded on your mobile, shown here as a list. You can simply turn off notifications by tapping one click on an unnecessary app that is not important.

#4 Google automatically saves your username or password; is it good or bad?

We need to access different types of websites using a username and password. In that case, Google can automatically save those usernames or passwords so that it will be easy to log in to that website next time. It's good for us. But on the other side, it's bad. If our Gmail account is h**ked or anyone can access the Gmail account, the unauthorized person can easily use our saved username or password for our Gmail account-linked website.

To do those settings means to stop Google from saving usernames or passwords; simply do that according to the following video guide.

The bad side of this setting is that you have to keep in mind all passwords or usernames individually for login. To be easy, you can keep those passwords in Notepad.

#5 Does anyone else know your live location?

Many are heard to say that someone else knows when and where I have been. This means your real-time location is being shared. Maybe someone did it by trick. I will show you how to check it.

>> Log in to the Google Maps app.

>> Tap on the right corner where your Gmail logo is.

>> Then you will get an option 'Location Sharing'. If you see a name or Gmail account showing at the bottom of the screen, tap on it. If it doesn't show, it's fine. Then click on 'Stop' from the 'Can see your location' option.

>> Click on 'Remove from list' from the three dots above and delete the spying Gmail.

Now your location is not shared with anyone else.

#6 Stop call forwarding

If your incoming call goes to someone else then the Call Forwarding option is on in your phone. Here's how to turn it off if someone else or you did it by mistake -

>> Go to Android Settings.

>> Go to the search option above the settings and search by writing 'Call forwarding'.

>> Then go to Call Forwarding settings and turn off all the options like the image below.
